# Kanban Board

Kanban boards display projects at a range of status conditions,
and are a useful tool to manage projects or tasks that have a repetitive nature.
They give a highly visual representation of job progress, capacity and performance.

An arbitrary number of kanban boards can be created,
with a user defined set of project status codes, or transitions.

Status codes are usually associated with a workflow,
and the kanban board highlights progression of projects through this flow.
Each column presents projects at a particular status,
with the project count shown in the summary and list screens.
Clicking the column heading displays the projects list in a conventional table layout.

Projects with an active status are ordered with the next project to be worked on at the top of the column.
Projects with a completed status show the most recently completed project at the top.

Tasks and projects can be dragged from one column to another as a quick way to change status.
